"It is difficult for a student to pick a good teacher, but it is more difficult for a teacher to pick a good student."
—Great Grandmaster Yip Man
Head Instructors
Sifu Haw Kuo
2nd Level Technician
Sifu Haw has been involved in the martial since the age of sixteen, training in wushu and choy lay fut.
He started learning WingTsun in 1999, after literally running into the back of an instructor while in college.
The paradoxical nature of WingTsun fascinated him, as did it's unlimited potential and depth, and he has been immersed in it ever since.
After training extensively with his si-hing Marcus Clever, Haw is now a private student of his si-bak (elder kung fu brother to his Sifu), Sifu Elmond Leung (3rd Level Technician).
He also trains under the guidance of Sifu Carson Lau (7th Level Practician) when circumstances permit, and his si-gung, Grandmaster Leung Ting during seminars and special events.
Grandmaster Leung Ting awarded him the 2nd Technician level in 2005.

Sifu Dan Hsiao
2nd Level Technician
As a boy, Sifu Hsiao had always wanted to study martial arts but thought he was too old to begin.
It wasn't until he began college that he came to learn about and try Leung Ting WingTsun.
Sifu Hsiao was amazed at the effectiveness and logic behind the art, and was even more amazed that such a highly-developed system was available for him to learn.
Sifu Hsiao continues his WingTsun education through lessons with Great Grandmaster Leung Ting (Hong Kong), Sifu Carson Lau (Toronto), and Sifu Elmond Leung (San Francisco).
Aside from training with Sifu Kuo, Sifu Hsiao cherishes every opportunity he has to train with his si-hings and good friends: Sifu Alex Richter (New York), Sifu Robin Tsang (Hong Kong), and Sifu Jung-soo Park (Korea).
